Seven Seasons was founded by Larrakia man Daniel Motlop, championing indigenous seasonality and local native ingredients. Botanicals are wild-harvested or sustainably sourced from Indigenous communities following traditional knowledge. Ingredients like green ants, bush apples, native yams, tamarind and wattleseed shape distinctive flavour profiles that differ from conventional spirits, with production centred on celebrating cultural connection to land and seasonal cycles.
Green Ant Gin is an Australian dry gin distilled with hand-harvested green ants and other native botanicals like boobialla (a coastal juniper-like plant), strawberry gum, lemon myrtle and pepper berry, which together create pronounced citrus and herbal aromas with spicy, floral and lime-leaf notes. The ants are added before and after distillation, so you will find ants at the bottom of the bottle! Serve with tonic or use as a base in contemporary gin cocktails.
