All the detail you ever wanted to know about our subscriptions.

Subscription Options

There are a few things that make each subscription unique:

Spirit choices

We offer three subscription plans: Random Scamperer, Gin Guzzler and Pickled Possum. For more information about what each of these contains, check out the Subscriptions Overview.

Delivery intervals

Then there are three simple delivery intervals - monthly (every month), bi-monthly (every two months), and quarterly (every three months).

For both of the choices above, you can make selections when you sign up for a subscription.

Special requests

We can also accommodate any special requests, such as:

Fixed subscription periods
(e.g. cancel automatically after six deliveries)

Non-standard delivery intervals
(e.g. bi-monthly until December, then monthly thereafter)

Spirit exclusions
(e.g. no fruit based liqueurs)

For any of these requests, just let us know before or after you sign up and we'll make sure you're taken care of. We're extremely responsive and you will get a reply from us quickly!

Plan variability

Note that we are constantly changing the make-up of our subscription plans, so your spirit adventure might not be the same as a fellow possum!

Calendars & Cut-off Dates

Here's how the exact timing works in our subscriptions program:

1st day of the month

The system does a 'information grab' at 11:59pm of the 1st day of each month. This is the deadline to change any of your subscription preferences or address details for that month.

To change any of these, simply logon here (click the 'already a possum' link at the top right hand corner). If you need to change any details after the deadline, please email us so we can manually update the system for you.

1st week of the month

If you are scheduled to receive a delivery this month, your order will be processed sometime during the first week of the month.

If your card is successfully charged, we'll send you an email with a receipt.

If there are any issues during this process, we'll send you an email with some helpful tips to sort it out.

Middle of the month

If you are scheduled to receive a delivery this month, your spirits will be shipped around the middle of the month.

Generally it takes between two to five days for the box to zip to your door. You can generally expect your spirits to arrive before the 20th of the month.

Giving a Gift

Awesome! We love to spoil people. Here are some tips on how to ensure your gift is delivered smoothly:

What details to subscribe with

Simply enter the recipient's details when you're joining but make sure you use your own email address because we send payment receipts to that email address which you'd probably prefer the recipient not to see!

We never include a printed invoice or receipt with deliveries, so no problems here.

Special requests

If you have any special requests, such as a shorter subscription period or non-standard delivery cycles, that's no problem. Just let us know and we'll make sure you're taken care of.

E-cards

We can also do up small e-cards for your recipient to let them know what to expect. Simply send us an email after joining and we'll happily oblige!

Payments

The nitty gritty about payments.

Accepted payment methods

We accept Visa, MasterCard and American Express debit and credit cards.

Card security

Your credit card details are securely processed using SSL 1024 bit encryption with Stripe and are not stored by White Possum. If you need to change your card details, you can do this by logging on here (click the 'already a possum' link at the top right hand corner).

Billing intervals

Generally, we bill you once every delivery. But if you'd like to pay upfront for all or a set number of months, we can do that too - just let us know!

Failed charges

Unfortunately sometimes cards are declined for whatever reason. If this happens, you'll receive an email. The system will attempt to charge your card again every couple of days, up to three times in total. If it's still declined after three attempted charges, we'll skip your delivery for that month.

Shipping & Delivery

The low-down on our standard shipping arrangements.

We ship throughout Australia

We can ship your spirits anywhere in Australia, including to PO Boxes, Parcel Lockers and any residential or commercial address. All parcels are shipped with Australia Post.

Delivery issues

If no-one is at home to receive your spirits, the postie will leave you a slip and you'll be able to pick up your spirits from the nearest Post Office.

You may find it more convenient to use your work address. That's totally fine.

If you've got concerns about your address after your box has shipped, we suggest getting in touch with Australia Post using the tracking number that we sent you.

Changing a shipping address

You can change your shipping address at anytime by logging on here (click the 'already a possum' link at the top right hand corner).. But remember, we lock in your address on the 1st day of each month for that month's delivery. Email us if you need it urgently changed.

Bottle Sizes + Value

A brief chat about bottle sizes and value for money.

Bottle sizes

In general, the spirits you'll receive will be either a 500ml or 700ml bottle. On the rare occasion, we'll send a smaller bottle if what's inside is truly spectacular (in these cases we can't afford to send a normal sized bottle!). But that is the exception, definitely not the rule.

Subscription pricing

Our subscription prices are, on average, slightly lower than or around the same as the recommended retail pricing of the spirits we send out.

Our pricing is possible because we have a great working relationship with our distilleries combined with the fact that we order larger quantities of spirits. This allows us to cover our operational costs, as well as pay for the postie to deliver your spirits to you.

Cancelling Subscriptions

All of our subscriptions come with the following guarantees:

No sign-up fees (you won't be charged upon joining)

No lock-ins (you can cancel or pause anytime)

No strings attached (you don't need to give us a reason for leaving)

To cancel your subscription, login to the subscription portal, then hit cancel on the subscription you'd like to end. That's it!

Alternatively, you can email us and we can cancel it manually for you. No questions asked.
