Pyewackets Traditional is an artisanal producer in Ballina NSW specialising in slow-made botanical drinks that draw on historical shrub, tonic and bitters traditions. Their handmade products are made in small batches using real plants without extracts or added flavours, with an emphasis on sustainability, low waste (including utilising late-season or imperfect fruit) and connection to the local Bundjalung region (a portion of sales is donated to First Nations organisations). Founder Genna Pyewacket is a naturopath, herbalist and nutritionist with more than 25 years of clinical and herbal-medicine experience. She's also a keen gardener - she grows many of the herbs used in Pyewackets’ products.

Aromatic Bitters is made using organic and foraged herbs and spices including citrus peel, ginger, cassia, gentian and aromatic botanicals. These are slowly extracted in organic alcohol to create a richly layered, citrus-and-spice-led bitter concentrate. The finished product is designed primarily as a digestive aid, but hey, you weren't here for wellness were you? Use it in place of Angostura.
