Description

24% ABV / 500mL

Some of the world’s most enchanting liqueurs are aged in oak. Ever curious, we aged a batch of our award-winning Amaretto, made from waste apricot kernels (also known colloquially as bitter almonds) and strawberry gum, to create this Oak Aged Amaretto.

The result? Mellow notes of oak abound, wrapping up all the nuttiness and marzipan goodness from our Amaretto. Like stepping into the depths of a rustic winery while sipping an Amaretto Sour.

We only made one batch of this rather special liqueur so quantities are extremely limited.

How It's Made.

To make it, we acquired a full cask of 3.5 year old single malt whisky from Chief’s Son Distillery. As soon the cask rolled into our distillery, we emptied it (into a vat, not the drain) then filled the empty cask with our Amaretto. We let it sleep for seven months until the aromas were intoxicatingly arousing, then bottled it.

Contains precisely 0.0% artificial colours, flavours and preservatives. Vegan friendly (we don't use any animal products nor processes throughout).

Cocktail Suggestions.

Sumac Amaretto Sour:
60ml Oak Aged Amaretto + 30ml lemon juice + 15ml egg white. Dry shake without ice, then add ice and shake like a madman. Strain, then dust one half with 1/4 tsp sumac.

Great Godfather:
45ml Oak Aged Amaretto + 45ml whisky. Stir over ice and garnish with an orange wheel.
