Based in Richmond in the heart of Melbourne, Brogan's Way Distillery is run by a father and daughter team. The father, Simon, is an ex-automotive production manager and graduate of the Institute of Brewing and Distilling. The daughter, Brogan, is the one who leads 'the way' and trained in laboratory science before applying her technical knowledge to spirits instead. She also happens to be one of the country's youngest distillers. When they opened their doors in 2018, Brogan was just 24!
We're incredibly chuffed to be one of very few stockists of this 4-pack gin tasting cube. It features four of the distillery's most loved gins which reside in a cubic box which itself is a neat little creation. Inside, you'll find a 50ml mini bottle of the following four gins:
Royal Blood Gin
A navy strength gin clocking in at 57.2% ABV, this is a savoury gin that packs a punch. It's made with a strong juniper base that's complemented with herbal and aromatic characters of fresh vapour distilled rosemary leaf, bay leaf, olive leaf, green cardamom and black peppercorns, as well as Australian natives mountain pepper leaf, saltbush, sea parsley and wattleseed. A perfect gin for a martini.
Everyday Salvation Gin
The core of the Brogan's Way range, this balanced dry gin combines strawberry gum, lavender rose, orris root and zesty white grapefruit peel to offer a floral citrus layer upon the underlying earthy character from pepperberry, coriander seed and angelica root. A little wattleseed adds a touch of nuttiness. We suggest serving this one with tonic.
Evening Light Gin
This is a modern gin that celebrates the diversity of flavour in Australia. A piney juniper and dry coriander seed base is lifted by fresh Australian mangoes, raspberries, and white grapefruit juice. Red rose petals and lavender add a floral note, and cassia bark adds warmth. Native strawberry gum, lilly pilly and river mint offer fruitiness. To best enjoy the many delicate flavours within this gin, pair it with soda.
Hearts Afire Gin
A warming of the soul. That's what this gin seeks to achieve. It's made with nutmeg, cloves and aniseed myrtle, each offering a hint of spice, blended with sweet orange peel, lilly pilly and cassia bark. Hot green cardamom and black peppercorn further add further fuel to the simmering heat. Adds something rather special to a negroni.
