This limited edition tasting set features five of the best Victorian single malt whiskies. From Melbourne to Yackandandah, the drams within may just inspire you to go on a road trip to seek out these beautiful distilleries. Three of the drams within are high quality core releases from Bakery Hill, Morris Whisky and Timboon Distillery. The other two drams are single batch drops from Backwoods Distilling and Loch Distillery, which you may have difficulty finding in the wild!
Each whisky is presented in a 30ml matte-black glass sampler bottle and labelled with the distillery, whisky name and where it was distilled. A sleek and eco-friendly themed slide-out box holds the whiskies together. On the back of the box, you'll find some light reading - a brief profile of each distillery and whisky.

'Muscat Barrel Single Malt' by Morris Whisky
Since 1859, Morris has been renowned as a producer of fine fortified wines. A plentiful stock of oak casks used to age their wines gives their whisky a distinct advantage. Muscat Barrel Single Malt is made from locally grown barley and matured in ex-red wine casks before further ageing in Morris’ signature ex-Muscat casks.
'Classic Single Malt' by Bakery Hill Distillery
Established 20 years ago, Bakery Hill is one of the oldest operating distilleries in Australia. All of their whiskies are single cask expressions and matured for at least six to eight years. This one is made from Australian malted barley that’s been milled and fermented on-site, then aged in ex-Bourbon (Jack Daniels) casks.
'Ex-Bourbon (Batch 32)' by Loch Distillery
Loch Distillery is situated in a solid red brick building which used to be the former Union Bank built in 1902. Co-founder Craig honed his craft with Bill Lark (founder of Lark Distillery, considered the pioneer of the modern Aussie whisky industry) before setting up here in 2014. This 32nd whisky bottling is distilled from a pale malt bill and aged in smaller 50L ex-Bourbon casks.
'Port Expression' by Timboon Distillery
Nestled in behind the smashing waves of Port Campbell, Timboon Railway Shed Distillery are makers of fine whisky and liqueurs. They also have cattle and their own cooperage too. Port Expression is their flagship dram, made from malted barley then distilled in a 600 litre 'Knapp Lewer' electric copper pot still. The new make spirit is aged in ex-Port casks for around three years.
'White Oak / Shiraz Cask (Batch 9)' by Backwoods Distilling
Based in Yackandandah, husband and wife distillers Leigh and Bree have been diligently crafting their own whisky for over six years. With the help of their still, nicknamed 'Stillvester', they produce both rye and single malt whiskies. Batch #9 is a single malt aged in an American White Oak cask previously used to mature Shiraz.
