Boatrocker is a small, family owned and run brewery and distillery in Melbourne's southeast. Founded in 2009 by Matt & Andrea Houghton, Boatrocker has come a long way from its beginnings of selling its first beers from the back of their car. Initially their beers were gypsy brewed and received widespread acclaim. On the back of this success, they opened their own brewery in 2012. Several years later, in 2017, Boatrocker merged with Hippocampus Distillery from WA to kickstart their entry into spirits.
Inspired by the rich traditions and bold flavours of Mexico, this Feliz Navidad Christmas Gin offers a unique take on festive spirits. Botanicals in this gin include lactic-fermented jalapeno peppers, organic Peruvian cacao nibs, Ethiopian Gesha coffee beans, cinnamon and cloves alongside more traditional gin ingredients.
On the nose you'll be greeted with jalapeno, chocolate, coffee and spices. On the palate, it's luscious and full-bodied with a lingering chilli pepper hit.
